SPECIALTY STORE

The other days while I was look in the house wares section of a specialty department store downtown, I could not believe the prices, for one thing.  And for another, I think if I had the money to spend on some of the things I see, I would probably do it.  There are some very nice things I would like for my house.  I decided to try to track them down at the mall.  I believe things may be a little differently priced than at the specialty store.  I finally found some wooden closet organizers that I think look even better than the ones I say at the store downtown, and the are made of wood instead of that metal.  They fit perfectly in my closet.  Of course you know that means I have to find other things to go along with this wonderful piece find I made.  I think I will go back out to the store and see if I can find anything that bets me to buy it and take it home, because it will work well with to my new and improved closet.  I did start in house wares but decided that a nice sweater would do.

ASKING QUESTIONS

It is a good idea to talk to somebody that has had Lasik eye surgery before you decide that you want to have the surgery done yourself.  Before my friend had the surgery done last month, he talked to both of my parents about their experiences with it.  It is a good idea to do so, because they you can formulate some questions for your Lasik surgeon.  That way you will be able to put your mind at ease before you have the surgery.  It is scary enough to have any sort of surgery, without the burden of having questions swirling through your head.  I honestly do not know how I would react to having that type of surgery.  They keep you awake, and they are scraping away at your lens in the your, while you are staring up at the ceiling.  The concept is really frightening to me.  I know they drug you up enough to the point where you cannot even feel it, but I have a hard time even putting drops in my eyes.  I guess I would suck it up and have the surgery done so I would never have to worry about my glasses and contacts again.

MINOR INCONVENIENCE

My friend Vickie can tell you all about the advantages of home security.  She got married last December, and on the night of her wedding, her parent’s home was broken into.  How horrible of a thing is that?  On what is supposed to be one of the happiest moments of your life, having something that horrible happening is sickening.  Luckily, her parents had a home security system, and the robbers were scared off when the alarm went off.  Nothing was taken, and it was only a minor inconvenience.  Apparently it is a pretty common thing for people to be victims of robberies when they are at a wedding or even worse, a funeral.  That would have to be a feeling that I would never want to experience.  Have the horrible feeling of losing a loved one, added to the fact that you were violated and your home robbed.  I think that is absolutely atrocious and disgusting.  What kind of a person would do such a thing?  You would really have to be the scum of the earth to commit such a horrible crime.  I do not know how desperate you have to be to have to do that to another human being.

GAINING CONTROL

The computer is a powerful tool. But, what can be done at home besides sending emails to the grand kids? There is software that can be added to your current computer at home and it will help you keep track of your glucose levels. This will be invaluable to your health. It will make your life much much easier. It will eliminate your recorded diary of glucose levels. It can even make your care plan much easier. The software will keep track of your glucose levels. It will then show you all sorts of manipulations on it. It will show you the average glucose level you had. It will show you the peaks and valleys of your sugar levels. Software for glucose tracking can be an invaluable tool for your life. It can even isolate a certain time of the day and give you a readout of only those levels to help you better understand what is happening at a certain time of the day, say after you eat. You can program it easily to your care plan that your physician created for your lifestyle. It will help you maintain yourself on that course. It will help you gain control over your food and nutritional levels. It will overall help your life and make your diabetes much easier to cope with. The software must of course be coupled with an accurate diabetes glucose monitor to be effective. Having a system like this is important if you want to have a healthy life with diabetes. When you do a little research online you can find all sorts of meal plans which will really help you on your diabetes path.

PERFECT ATTENDANCE

Steve was working for the company New Breed for many years. He had never come to work late and never missed a day. One day Steve was working hard as usual trying to reach his quota he knew he had to hurry up before his shift was over. He opened the boxes to get the supplies out with a box cutter and accidentally slit his whole arm. It was a real bad accident, he slice his arm very deep that it cut some of his tendons. Steve had to go to the emergency room to get many stitches. Also, he had to miss over a week of work. Finally he was feeling better and decided to go back to work. The company told him they did not need him anymore. Hearing this news Steve was really upset and knew he had to do something about it. Since Steve was a good employer, never late, never missed a day he took the new as a big insult. Steve decided he will go see the best Personal Injury Attorney in Illinois. Steve explained the attorneys about his issue and felt like it was wrong for what the company did. They were really excited to have Steve as a client and agreed to accept the case.

OFFICE SECRETS

As time went on Joe lost more and more hair.  He was really getting depressed about it.  Of course I didn't notice anything, even though I saw him every day.  His hair looked the same to me.  I should have known something was up, when the day Joe left on vacation he popped his head into my cube and was all smiles.  I didn't know it but he was getting transplants for hair loss.   Two weeks later when he came back he was wearing a dew rag and told everybody he had gotten a really bad sunburn in Cancun.  Turns out his sunburn was really surgery.  He showed me.  Just before going home he lifted the dew rag and I could see where the tiny follicle transplants had been placed.  He swore me to secrecy, and I didn't tell anybody.  But others must have guessed what was going on.  Joe's face was a little burned but nothing all that bad.  I don't think he cared too much if others put two and two together.  He was going to get a little more coverage on top and he was happy.  He was in a much better mood over all too. It was several weeks before Joe finally got rid of the dew rag.  He waited until the long holiday weekend.

Business Facts

Business is a terribly shaky thing for people, and business owners in America. With our economy on the verge of a recession there is no telling what exactly is going to happen, even predicting what might happen is on the verge of being a problem.

As countries, such as the United Arab Emirates, whom we purchase a fair amount of oil from as well as other trading, begin to back away from their commitments on the United States dollar, our economy will continue to sputter and eventually give out. The United Arab Emirates are only the first, of what is surely, many more countries to come in abandoning the dollar. The problem is the former business tycoon that was the United States is visibly on the way out – the United Arab Emirates were merely just the first foreign power to recognize this.

Another plague on American business, our housing bubble. The housing bubble started around 2001 and is generally, in the most simplistic of explanations, consider the mass purchasing of housing in more population dense areas, it should be noted that the bubble does not only including these specific areas but it is believed to have originated from these larger areas like the suburbs of Chicago for instance. Around 2005 the market peaked, plateaued and then began a steep decline in the course of two years. The real problem is individuals attempting to live beyond their means, most likely from pressure from the media, regardless of how small, to have lavish and expensive things. As of 2002 the national credit card debt was over 60 billion dollars, with 1.2 billion credit cards in use. In 2003 1.3 million credit card holders filled for bankruptcy, which is no wonder the foreclosure rate started to rise and then spike in mid to late 2006 and has only picked up steam causing a crisis in the sub-prime, Alt-A, CDO, CDX, mortgage, credit, hedge fund, and even foreign bank markets. Some of the biggest investors, and even the major banks, like Bank of America, posted record losses for the past fiscal year.

As business continues to decline our stock market will slowly come crashing down, much as it did causing the Great Depression. Perhaps at that point we will have as much to worry about from other countries and “terrorist” as we are lead to believe. After all, what would this nation be without the money to fund it’s military – our greatest asset? People need to take a stand, either by demanding the government change the laws it enforces for credit card companies or abolish the credit system as we know it all together. The government itself has a nasty credit card debt itself as well, almost 4 trillion of which comes from the Afghanistan/Iraq war. When 75% of the credit card companies penalize customers for paying off their debt early, you know something is wrong. To save the American economy and continue to have a business world as we know, we seriously need to reevaluate and then try to continue moving along with our lives.
